In honor of President’s Day, a rarely seen photograph of (beardless!) Abraham Lincoln. Mrs. Lincoln considered this portrait, taken by S. M. Fassett in 1859, to be the best likeness of her husband. The original negative was destroyed in the Chicago fire.
